Former Celtic stronghold conquered by Julius Caesar, Bourges became the city of "The Very Rich Hours" under Duke Jean de Berry. Recognized by UNESCO for its prestigious cathedral, its bustling half-timbered medieval quarter, ornate Palace Jacques Coeur, and numerous Renaissance mansions, Bourges emerges in its full glory at nightfall with its spectacular sound and light show, unique in Europe and entirely free of charge, les "Nuits Lumière". 


Every night starting at sundown in the summer you can stroll around the Old Town of Bourges and enjoy a free sound-and-light show. From June 16th to 30th and from september 1st to 17th from thursday to saturday and every night on July and August

Tourist Office opened from october 1st to March 31th every day except on sunday and monday morning
