Château de Gien Histoire, Chasse et Nature en Val de Loire

 Information

Anne de Beaujeu’s imposing residence abandon the defensive aspect of the Middle Ages for the benefit of the comfort of the Renaissance and dominates the Loire valley. Since 1952, it houses a sumptuous collection of hunting artefacts dating from the Middle Ages to the present. Important works of restoration of the site for 4 years allow from now on the public to discover collections and its history in the Loire valley.

Reopening to the public April 22nd at 2p.m. 

Opening hours 2017:

- From October 1st to April 30th:
       during the week: from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.,
       week-ends et holidays from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 
- From May 1st to september 30th : from 10 a.m to 6 p.m.
- Closed on Tuesday
- Closed on january and december 25th
